Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday is an annual shopping tradition dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. Small Business Saturday was founded by American Express in 2010 and is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Santa on the Square
Santa on the Square is hosted each year on the day after Thanksgiving. Santa will arrive downtown in a Fire Truck, and will immediately light the Christmas tree located on the Court House Square.
Plaid Friday
On Plaid Friday shop in Downtown Newnan and simplify your Day-After-Thanksgiving experience! The name “Plaid Friday” celebrates the idea of LOCAL! Plaid Friday is the relaxing and enjoyable alternative to the big box store “Black Friday."
Holiday Sip & See
This event is a great opportunity for visitors to get started on their holiday shopping while the holiday inventory is plentiful! There will also be a night market, live music, and food trucks along with hor d'oeuvres and refreshments from the retailers.
Craft Night November
Join us on Thursday, November 7th from 4-6pm to make some Pinecone Christmas Trees!
Tickets are available for $15 and include all craft supplies plus one drink or treat of choice. Drink of choice can be cocktails, wine, beer, mocktails, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate! Not feeling a drink? Grab a pastry from the case or some ice cream!
All ages welcome! This craft will be kid friendly.
In order to make sure we have enough supplies, tickets must be purchased in advance, and will not be available for purchase the night of.
Market Day November
The Monthly Market Day is hosted by Main Street Newnan on the first Saturday of every month from March-December, around the courthouse square in downtown Newnan, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The market showcases a variety of handmade, homemade, and homegrown products created by local artisans, artists, and farmers. It features over 50 unique booths with new vendors and one-of-a-kind items each month. Market favorites include: fresh locally grown produce, honey, jams and jellies, salsa, pottery, art, children’s clothing, hand-woven baskets, leather products, fresh baked goods, handcrafted furniture, birdhouses, wood-art, fiber-art, wreaths, floral design, and much more! The Market is open to the public, and there is no charge for admission.
Munchkin Masquerade
Hosted by Mainstreet Newnan!
Our downtown Trick-or-Treat for the little ones! The Munchkin Masquerade will take place beginning at 10am and end by noon.
Leaf and Bean Holiday Hours
Leaf and Bean will be open from 7am-11pm on Thursday, October 31st. Happy Halloween!

Wine Flights at Night - October
Hosted by Leaf and Bean, benefitting Hearts n’ Homes
This is a 21+ Event. Please bring a valid form of ID for all participating parties. Please note that we do not accept pictures of ID's, we need a physical copy present.
$20 for each participant. This includes four three ounce pours of wine, 12 ounces total. A portion of the proceeds from these flights goes directly to Hearts n’ Homes, a local animal rescue.
We have sheets with all wines available and descriptions of each, you pick four of them, and we will pour the flight for you! The wines available vary each month, always keeping our typical wine menu, and adding a few rotating selections in the mix! We have a variety of reds, whites, and bubbly wines!
Spirits and Spice Festival
Hosted by Mainstreet Newnan.
It’s time to eat, drink, and get spooky! Join us on Saturday, October 19, 2024, for the Spirits & Spice Festival from 2pm-7pm. Event attendees will be able to get their “boos” on by walking the Downtown Spirits Trail and purchasing specialty cocktails at different participating locations, spice things up by tasting numerous types of chilis at the Chili Cook-Off, and have some skele-fun on the Twisted Trolley Tour ride to the Oak Hill Cemetery Tour. The event will feature live music, a craft market, and activities for the kids. This event is eerie-sistible for all ages!
Specialty Coffee Flights - October
Hosted by Leaf and Bean! We have sheets with all coffee drinks and flavor combinations available, you pick four of them, and we will make the flight for you!
Each ticket gets you a flight with 4 iced drinks. Each iced coffee will be around five ounces. We have a few different flavor options for each category: Cold Brew, Nitro Cold Brew, Iced Lattes, and Iced Tea/Matcha. Decaf options are NOT available.

Oktoberfest
The Oktoberfest celebration is designed to bring beer enthusiasts downtown to enjoy a night of tasting Georgia craft brews. Over 30+ downtown business participants extend their business hours, and their hospitality, to downtown guest to serve as tasting locations for the different varieties of craft beer that is available for sampling. Downtown businesses provide complimentary refreshments, retail sales specials and other treats for all Oktoberfest guests. Main Street Newnan releases a limited amount of 500 Oktoberfest tickets for drinkers that are available for purchase. Tickets will be available for sale online through Mainstreet Newnan’s website, beginning September 6th at $30 per-person. We encourage interested guests to purchase tickets in advance, as tickets usually sell out a week in advance of the event. Participation in Oktoberfest festivities is cost free for non-drinking participants.
Upon sign-in, each participant will receive a commemorative beer mug and an informational brochure. Each participant will also receive a wristband to indicate that they are of legal drinking age.
Event-goers must provide a valid photo ID at the registration table located at the Carnegie Library for admittance.
Event registration will take place from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Guests will not be able to have tickets scanned after 7:00pm.
National Coffee Day

Happy National Coffee Day! Thank you for always supporting us as a small business! Drip coffee on Sunday, September 29th will be free with purchase! Grab a pastry, a latte or tea, breakfast or lunch food, or something from our retail section, and get a drip coffee for free!
We are open on Sundays from 8am-6pm.

Speed Dating - September

Welcome back to our quarterly Speed Dating! Join us from 7-9pm on Saturday, September 14th.
Head over to the "Events Signup" tab or click the link below and signup so we can get a headcount and set aside enough space in the store for the night. You will pay at the register when you arrive and check in.
Tickets are $20 and includes one drink of choice. This can be coffee, tea, beer, wine, cocktails, or mocktails!
We will ring you up, get you a name tag made, give you a list of questions you can reference if you’d like, and hand out a ticket that is redeemable for a drink of choice. You can cash in the beverage as soon as you pay or save it for later in the night! The other side of this ticket will be entered into a raffle for a prize!
All ages are welcome! (18+) We hope to see you there!

Craft Nights are back! Join us on Thursday, September 12th from 5-7pm to make some Mason Jar Leaf Lanterns!
Sign up under the "Events Signup" tab or click the link below (make sure you sign up for the right month!) and include all participants joining you. This is just to get a headcount and an idea of the number of supplies we need to provide!
There is no charge for the crafts, but so we can keep this event free, we do ask that you purchase something from the shop. Upon purchasing a drink, pastry, food, or something from our retail section, our employees will give you a ticket that you’ll hand in to get your supplies.

Sunrise on the Square 5K
The Sunrise on the Square Labor Day Road Race is a local favorite, and has been held annually in Downtown Newnan on the Saturday before Labor Day for over 40 years!
The race will take place on August 31, 2024 at 8am. Chip timing is able to precisely measure your race results by registering your race chip as you run across timing mats located throughout the race course. Your individual clock starts as soon as you pass over the mats located at the starting line, and likewise ends as you cross the mats at the finish line. Race runners will receive a race t-shirt!
The race begins in Downtown Newnan and spans through “The City of Homes,” where runners will catch a glimpse of our beautiful, historic in-town neighborhoods and commercial district.
The race features a 5k USATF certified course (chipped timing), where runners will enjoy the diversity of terrain, including: long flat stretches, downhill, and uphill sections. The Sunrise on the Square Labor Day Road race welcomes both runners and walkers of all skill levels.
This race will benefit the Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club. The Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club works with hundreds of kids and teens each year to help them reach their full potential. We provide an environment where all youth feel safe and secure to dream, discover, and develop. Our programs focus on helping kids succeed in school, live healthy, and become leaders.
Labor Day Sidewalk Sale
The Labor Day Sidewalk Sale is an annual tradition! This is an all-day shopping event that starts on the Friday before Labor Day. During the Labor Day Sidewalk Sale, visitors are invited to walk the downtown streets and shop the best deals of the year.

The Summer NewnaNights will take place on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 6:00pm-9:00pm, and will feature family friendly music and entertainment! The park will also be filled with various festivities, food trucks and vendor booths/sponsor booths. Some downtown businesses will stay open late during the Summer NewnaNights, and feature specials and promotions for shoppers and guests.

4th of July Parade
Join us downtown to celebrate Independence Day during the 4th of July Parade on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.The Parade will begin at Veteran’s Memorial Park (Temple Avenue Park) at 9:00 am, and will end right before Greenville Street Park.
